A Ballet Company Illuminating More Than Just Stage Lights…

Avoda Dance Company was founded in 2022 at En Pointe School of Dance for committed dancers to have an outlet to be able to perform and compete on a high level, while still having a positive environment to train and rehearse. Avoda Dance Company puts on two full length concerts per year, including our Nutcracker Suite in December. Many of performances have uplifting themes and create wholesome entertainment for families in our community, often with deeper meanings that point the audience towards truth.

A Competitive Team Focused on More Than Winning…

In addition to our full length productions that we put on each year, Avoda Dance Company also attends dance competitions, providing the opportunity to compete to dancers as young as 5-years-old. Rather than the sole focus being to win awards, dancers focus on it being a chance to spread positivity through the performance, gain experience to further their professional goals, to work hard while encouraging others in classes, and to use their God-given talents while pushing themselves to great heights. Most notable, Avoda Dance Company attended the Youth American Grand Prix in January of 2026. One of our dancers was even accepted into a prestigious contemporary dance program in New York City because of her performance at YAGP.

Why Avoda?

Our company’s name, “Avoda,” is derived from the Hebrew word, “avodah,” which translates to “work, worship, service.” This is our approach to our dance company. Through many of our performances, we strive to point the audience towards truth. In classes and rehearsals, we teach our dancers to work hard with a grateful heart. In addition to our dancing, dancers participate in at least 1 service project per season to serve our community representing the “service” aspect of our name. We instill the idea in all of our Avoda dancers that everything they do—whether it’s rehearsal, a class, performance, or competition—can can be done with thankfulness, humility, and love.
